Eddy privacy policy

The short version
Your check-ins, notes, sessions and the contact you choose as “your person” are stored on your phone. We do not sell data, show ads, or use any advertising or tracking SDKs.
What stays on your phone
Everything you enter in Eddy: tide check-ins, notes, worries, reframes, ladder steps, session history, settings and your saved contact. Deleting the app or using Delete my data removes it.
Encrypted daily backup
Backup is on by default. After onboarding, Eddy backs up your data once a day, and you can also tap Back up now in Settings. Before anything leaves your phone, your data is encrypted on the phone with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your recovery code. Our server receives only this ciphertext, stores it together with up to seven daily snapshots, and cannot read it. We do not have your recovery code and cannot recover it.
You can turn backup off at any time in Settings, Daily backup, and Eddy remembers that choice. Turning backup off and choosing to delete the backup removes the server copy from our servers.
Our server is used only to store these encrypted backups. It does not receive your purchases, subscription events or anything else about you.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple (or Google on Android) and by RevenueCat, our subscription provider. They process an anonymous app user identifier and purchase records. Our server does not receive purchase or subscription events, and we never receive your payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your phone. No reminder content is sent to us.
Health information
Eddy is a wellbeing tool and not a medical device. Information you record may relate to your mental health. We handle it as sensitive: it is not shared, not used for advertising, and not readable by us when backed up.
Your rights
You can export your data from Settings at any time, delete it, and delete any backup. For questions or requests, contact nicolaematies@gmail.com.
Children
Eddy is intended for people aged 16 and over.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will say so in the app.
