Privacy Policy
PhotoHint is built to be private by default. Coaching happens on your device, your photos are never uploaded, and there is no account to create.
Effective September 17, 2026
Your photos stay on your device
All photographic guidance — face detection, light metering, camera-angle sensing and the hints and arrows you see — runs entirely on your device. The camera preview is processed live and never sent anywhere. Photos you capture are saved only to your own photo library, and only if you grant photo access. We have no server that can see, store, or access your images.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect or upload your photos or camera feed.
- We do not require an account, name, email, or profile to use the app.
- We do not read your location or GPS.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal data.
Why iOS may mention location
PhotoHint does not use your location. iOS may surface a location-related notice because a standard photo-library component references location APIs, but the app never reads or stores your GPS position.
Purchases
PhotoHint Pro is an optional one-time purchase. Payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store, and purchase validation is managed by our payments provider (RevenueCat). We never see or store your card details. To keep the free-photo count in sync and to restore Pro across your devices, the app uses an anonymous device identifier that is not linked to your name, email, or any personal profile.
Diagnostics
Any diagnostics we receive are aggregate and anonymous, used only to keep the app working and to improve guidance. They are not tied to your identity or your images.
Children
PhotoHint is a general-audience camera tool and is not directed at children. Because we do not collect personal data, we do not knowingly gather information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
